Indiantown Gap Military Reservation

Indiantown Gap was one of the last stops for the 5th Armored Division prior to shipping overseas. It was considered part of the Port of Embarkation and it was here the men received their last round of shots. The division completed Army Ground Force Battalion tests and the soldiers said their goodbyes. From here, the final stop would be Camp Kilmer where they boarded ships to Europe.
