The M8 Greyhound was originally designed as a tank destroyer but the British complained the 37mm main
gun was not capable of penetrating enemy armor. So it was converted to a reconnaissance vehicle.
Although lightly armored, its crews generally like the vehicle because it was able to manuever over
almost any terrain. It had a four (4) man crew that consisted of a commander, gunner, driver,
and co-driver/radio operator.
